Alloy's FE-6590 Fast Ethernet Fibre Optic PCMCIA Card is an ideal solution for connecting laptops and Notebooks to high speed fibre optic LANs via a 32bit PCMCIA interface. Supporting 100Mbps, in both Full and Half Duplex environments, the single piece card features an ST or SC fibre port and diagnostic LEDs attached directly onto the PCMCIA card body.

Extensive Network Operating System (NOS) drivers such as NetWare, Windows 95/98/2K/XP/2K3 and Linux are available.

With its unique, robust, single piece design, the FE-6590 is easy to use and install. It requires no external power supply, but derives all power for the fibre interface of the HOST system.

Ruggedised Metal Fibre connectors on models ending in "R" are designed for use in mobile systems that may get moved frequently, and should avoid accidental damage to the fibre connectors.

The FE-6590 series has been supplied to military and government departments worldwide.
