In Detail

The FO-E3T3 is a fibre optic modem designed to transport an E3 or T3 – G703 interface. It can be placed in a compact desktop metallic enclosure for use as a standalone module or can be used as a line card in a 19" chassis.

Equipped with a complete choice of fibre interfaces, diodes or lasers, multi mode or single mode, the FO-E3T3 is capable of extending E3 & T3 links distances of up to 60km. Thus, achieving far superior transmission distances when compared to G.703 over copper capabilities.

The FO-E3T3 carries the G703 signal with full transparency to data and framing (PDH / SDH, ATM, etc.) It embeds a clock & data recovery coding processor and a phase lockloop circuit that regenerates the E3 or T3 signal with perfect characteristics and minimum jitter.

The easy to install FO-E3T3 enables the user to choose desired packaging and power supply; power supply options are: a 110 – 230 VAC mains power supply, or a 48 VDC converter. Additionally the user-friendly management interface enables Loop and BER Tests.
