In Detail

The PacketBand-TDM-1D delivers a high quality, completely transparent, E1/T1 circuit across different types of packet networks. PacketBand excels in delivering stable and accurately clocked E1/T1 “leased lines” over packet networks. This very low-cost single E1/T1 interface unit is ideal for customer premises and other price sensitive areas.

The TDM-1D supplies a clock-locked clear channel E1 or T1 circuit over Ethernet, IP, or MPLS networks. It supports a single E1/T1 and can be used in pairs or with other members of the PacketBand range. A single port unit (PacketBand-TDM-1MC) supporting Multicast is also available and this has applications in larger networks where clocking is critical and in some vertical markets such as broadcasting.

The PacketBand TDM range delivers point-to-point leased lines across an Ethernet or IP/MPLS network for synchronous devices which require a clock-locked architecture. In many situations the central site has a clock source (PRC) and the remote locations have to recover the clock across the non-clocked Packet Network. In this way both "ends" are synchronised to the same clock source and the E1 and T1 services look and perform the same as traditional leased lines.
