The FIB1 Family of converters are standalone fiber media converters available in a number of different models that also act as line cards for placement in the FRM301 Platform Media Converter Chassis.

The FIB1-1000DS/FIB1-1000MG is a fibre optical media converter and repeater that allows data rates up to 1.25Gbps. The FIB1-1000DS supports 2R regeneration, which consists of reamplification and reshaping. This converter is compatible with fibre interfaces such as Fast and Gigabit Ethernet, FDDI, STM-1, STM-4, OC1, OC3, OC12, OC24, 1G Fibre Channel.
