In Detail

The FMC-CH08 is a 2U high 9.5", rack-mountable, 8 slot chassis. The FMC-CH08 is designed to support the non-managed FMC range of line cards. This chassis provides an economic solution for medium density fibre converter installations where no management features are required.

Each FMC line card is an independent Ethernet to fibre or Ethernet to copper media converter and can be used as either a standalone or placed in the chassis. When two chassis are connected in tandem they fit exactly into a 2U, 19” rack space.

The FMC-CH08 has three built in power options: Universal AC (100-240VAC), DC 18-36VDC or DC 36-72VDC and provides the working DC voltages for up to 8 FMC converters. The built in cooling fan ensures that temperatures in the rack remain within the tolerated working range.

Fibre media converter cards available for the FMC-CH08 chassis are: 10/100Base Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Power over Ethernet enabled and Plastic Optic Fibre (POF)
