The FRM220A-1002ES is an industrial grade dual copper to dual fibre Gigabit Ethernet managed switch designed to make conversion between 10/100/1000Base-T and 100/1000Base-SX/LX with SFP connector. With SNMP and Web-based management in the FRM220 chassis the network administrator can monitor, configure and control the activity of each FRM220A-1002ES switch card locally via the SNMP manager, the functions including bandwidth control, QoS, VLAN, duplex and speed configuration. This managed switch is completely transparent to Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols including IEEE 802.1q, VLAN tag, Q in Q, IPX, IP, etc. The FRM220A-1002ES managed switch is available in models that support operating temperatures from -40 to 80 degree C.

The CFT-206XD and CFT-206XDR Uni-Directional, Fast Ethernet Media Converters are designed for one-way data transmission across a single fibre strand. Standard duplex SC and ST Fibre connectors are utilized with their Full-Duplex function disabled. Optimized for environments where two-way communications is undesirable, the Uni-Directional, Converters implement factory changes that are irreversible after configuration. No on-board external/internal switches or jumpers are usable to restore bi-directional operation either before or after installation. Simply changing Fibre optic connectors will not re-enable bi-directional operation. The Fast Ethernet RJ-45 port is Switch-Selectable to allow a choice of Forced Full-Duplex or Auto-negotiated twisted-pair connections with other network devices. Even if Full-Duplex links are established at the UTP interface, they never actually transport full-duplex traffic. The converters also support multi-channel, parallel transmission over a single fibre strand by using CWDM techniques. Each channel is transported via its own dedicated wavelength. Making optimal use of state-of-the-art integrated circuits and surface-mount technology, they offer exceptionally reliable, tamper-resistant, low-cost single-purpose converters.

With the Gigabit Ethernet TDM module it is possible to double the capacity of Gigabit Ethernet. With the time division multiplexing (TDM) technology two Gigabit Ethernet data streams (2x 1.25 Gbps 1000Base-X) are combined to one channel (1x 2.5 Gbps). This aggregation is completely transparent for each Gigabit Ethernet channel. Switch features such as VLANs, stacked VLANs, Flow Control, buffer management etc. are not affected. The Gigabit Ethernet TDM is equipped with SFP slots for modularity of the optical interfaces. For xWDM applications the line interface can be equipped with a coloured SFP transceiver. For the installation into a 3 U or 4 U Modular Access Platform chassis, the adapter plate must be used. Each adapter plate occupies 6 slots and can hold 2 TDM Modules.
