| Implementing DSL in the U.K. |
DSL or Digital Subscriber Line is a phrase often used today in association with high speed Internet access. The technical definition of DSL refers to driving high speed data over long lengths of copper cabling. |

| Private DSL circuits, that are in no way connected to the Internet, can be created between 2 sites using our DSL modems and the appropriate copper circuit from British Telecommunications or similar carrier. | ||||||||||||
These private DSL circuits enable you create mutli megabit pipes between your networks at greatly reduced costs when compared to traditional leased lines. |
||||||||||||
The copper circuits required are known as EPS-8 or EPS-9 circuits. The EPS-8 provides a two pairs of copper cabling between 2 sites and the EPS-9 provides a single pair. It must be noted that these circuits are only available if the 2 sites you wish to connect reside within the same exchange area. |
