The FCR200-ST is a Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Fibre Optic Media Converter. The Converter comes with a standard mains plug pack, but can also be directly powered from a PC or Notebook via a PS2 keyboard adapter or a spare USB slot. For centralised media conversion a hot-swappable, 10 slot, 19 inch rackmount chassis can be used to provide a single power source for multiple converters. The Rack chassis solution provides various power options from Dual redundant to single power supplies in either Mains AC voltages or Telco 48V DC options. The FCR200 uses a 2 port Switching Chipset to convert from Ethernet and Fast Ethernet copper segments in both full and half duplex modes, to 100Mbps Fibre connections once again in full or half duplex. In full-duplex mode on standard Multimode fibre, transmission of up to 2 Km is possible. In Full-duplex mode on FCR200SC, using Single Mode fibre, transmission of up to 20/40/60/80/100Km is possible.

The Extended Ethernet EE1CL units provide symmetrical or asymmetrical transmission over legacy coax cable. The units deliver throughput of up to 100Mbps and support distances up to 3km on RG6 cable. The compact units have four selectable transmission modes to obtain the best connectivity depending on the cable quality and distance requirement. The series is available in a compact unit that can also be mounted into a 2.4U, 19” rack.

The Extended Ethernet 200 Series is a 10/100 Ethernet line driver with IEEE 802.3af /at compliant PoE. The unit provides excellent repeatable performance for today’s CCTV systems. The EE2CL line driver provides connectivity for one 10/100Mbps IEEE standard twisted pair copper port over a 75Ω coaxial cable interface allowing new IP technology to pass over existing legacy cable. Using a BNC splitter, up to 4 KBC EE2CL, slave units can be supported. The 200 Series is available as individual units and accessories or as a range of kits for 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 connections over one coax cable. The series is available in a compact wall-mount format that fits inside most camera housings or a 19” rack unit.

The FRM220-100AS-1 is an IEEE802.3ah OAM compliant copper to fibre Fast Ethernet Converter designed to make conversion between 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX with SFP. With stand-alone SNMP and Web-based management, the network administrator can monitor, configure and control the activity of each IEEE802.3ah series card and remotely connected OAM compliant converter. The FRM220-10/100AS-2 is fully compliant with IEEE802.3ah OAM (Operations, Administration and Maintenance or Ethernet in the first mile) and is ideal for deployments that require a high degree of diagnostic capability. The OAM functions enable a remote FRM220-10/100AS-2 to be configured and managed from a central location in-band across the fibre link. OAM functionality can greatly reduce maintenance costs by diagnosing problems centrally and negating the need for engineers to attend remote locations.

The FRM220-10/100iS-2 can be operated in an unmanaged environment. However when used in conjunction with the NMC management card the FRM220-10/100iS-2 can be configured and monitored via HTTP or SNMP. What's more even a remote FRM220-10/100i(S), at the other end of the fibre link from the NMC card, can be managed via an in-band embedded communications channel.

By offering 802.3ah OAM compliance, this converter can be linked to any 802.3ah compliant fibre switch and support loop back and dying gasp functions. When placed in our centrally controlled and managed rack, all functions of this converter and the remotely connected converter can be configured and monitored via in-band management, including band-width control, duplex, speed, VLAN configuration and more.
