1.25 Gbps SFP transponder

The SPEED-SINGLELINE SFP is a multifunctional and compact 2-port SFP active transponder module for universal use in telecommunication networks. The main field of application is cost-optimized CWDM and DWDM networks where the SPEED-SINGLELINE SFP, as an intelligent transponder module, converts a transparent data channel to a corresponding CWDM/DWDM wavelength. The module can be managed locally via Telnet (SNMP) or CLI interface and through SNMP or web by using the optionally available management module.

Dual 1.25Gbps SFP transponder

By using the SPEED-DUALLINE SFP Compact optical transponder module with four SFP ports it is possible to increase the capacity of one single pair of fibre with a protocol transparent transmission of up to 16 applications ( SDH, IP, Storage, video, etc.). The SPEED-DUALLINE SFP performance a conversion of the standard wavelength (850 nm, 1310 nm, 1550 nm) to a dedicated CWDM wavelength with a network termination which can be managed actively. The SPEED-DUALLINE SFP is a cost effective solution for transmission distances up to 40 km.

Dual 2.67 Gbps SFP 3R transponder module

With this Compact optical transponder module with 3R and link/line protection intelligence it is possible to increase the capacity of one single pair of fibre with a protocol transparent transmission of up to 80 applications (SDH, IP, Storage, video, etc.). The SPEED-DUALLINE SFP 3R performance a conversion of the standard wavelength (850 nm, 1310 nm, 1550 nm) to a dedicated CWDM or DWDM wavelength with an actively managed network termination. By utilizing of the integrated 3R functionality of the module transmission distances up to 120 km can be achieved without additional amplifier modules.

10 Gbps XFP transponder module

The SPEED-SINGLELINE XFP Compact optical 10 Gbps module is a cost-efficient conversion module for high-speed 10G signals. The module supports two flexible XFP ports suitable for wavelength conversion (850 nm, 1310 nm, 1550 nm, CWDM/DWDM or tunable optics) while the optical power budget (up to 15 dB/approx. 40 km distance) and the transferring application (10 GbE, 10 G FC, STM-64) are individually defined. The SPEEDSINGLELINE XFP can be used for existing 10 Gigabit systems like 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches to achieve long distances (up to 40 km). Thus existing 10 Gigabit systems are not restricted to installed 10 Gigabit optics which are limited to a few kilometers.

The module supports two flexible XFP ports suitable for wavelength conversion (850 nm, 1310 nm, 1550 nm, CWDM/DWDM or tunable optics) while the optical power budget (up to 24 dB/approx. 80 km distance) and the transferring application (10 GbE, 10 GFC, STM-64) are individually defined. The SPEED-SINGLELINE XFP can be used for existing 10 Gigabit systems like 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches to achieve long distances (up to 80 km). Thus existing 10 Gigabit systems are not restricted to installed 10 Gigabit optics which are limited to a few kilometers.

16-Gbps Fibre Channel transponder card

The SPEED-DUALLINE 16G is a compact 2 channel transponder card. Depending on customer application, the SPEED-DUALLINE 16G can be equipped with four SFP+ ports or with two SFP+ and two XFP Ports. In CWDM and DWDM networks they implement up to two 4/8/16 GFC channels on corresponding CWDM and DWDM wavelengths. In addition, the SPEED-DUALLINE 16G with the integrated 3R (Reshaping, Reamplification, Retiming) function permits perfect transmission also over longer distances. A further area of application of the SPEED-DUALLINE 16G is the interface conversion of SFP+ transceivers to XFP transceivers. The SPEED-DUALLINE 16G permits 1+1 protection for redundant coupling of two sites via fibre channel. Thus, up to 80 km without intermediate site can be bridged. Depending on customer requirements, always two 4/8/16 GFC signals can be transmitted. In addition, SNMP Traps can be sent to a management system via Ethernet over the integrated SNMP transmitter. The system card makes possible a conversion of the 10 Gbps signals in OUT-2 data packets by using OTN-DWDM transceivers and thus prepares the access point in an OTN network. Furthermore, with these OTN-Transceivers use can be made of FEC (Forward Error Correction) functionality and thus greater distances can be bridged.
